C'mon, Israel isn't reading any meaning into it that the US author isn't on record as meaning in the first place. Borders settled by negotiations are in there too, and that obviously would have no meaning if the only acceptable border was the original Green Line.

A total withdrawal without a negotiated framework with outside financial backing and monitoring would exactly end up like Gaza today. By your own admission its a gangland society with extremely poor people being subjugated to radicalism and intolerance. Without outside guidance it would be a disaster. Try looking at the bigger picture Nadine.

Bigger than what? Yes, it's a gangland society with poor people being subjugated to radicalism and intolerance. "Extremely poor" is not accurate unless you compare the WB only to Israel; it ranks about mid-tier in per-capita income for an Arab country, and that's after 15 years of the PA destroying what used to be a booming economy.

But your big picture is what? That with some "outside financial monitoring" people you admit are gangsters will miraculously become responsible statesmen? If they are gangsters, don't give them a state. If you do, don't expect good results. How basic can you get?
