Swaptions and Financial Turmoil globaleconomicanalysis.blogspot.com UBS is recommending "swaption" strategies because "turmoil in global credit markets will ease". What's in this for UBS? Why is turmoil set to ease? Banks like Citigroup are in a bind over off balance sheet SIVs, LBOs, etc. Before this mess is over scores more hedge funds and pension plans are going to be wishing they never heard the term "swap".
