Don't get me wrong. I was VERY disappointed in Clinton - not that he got a BJ from an intern, anyone but a naive prude knows our Presidents have been up to such shenanigans since we've had presidents. They're like musicians - women get warm and runny for the fame and power and spread 'em for Presidents. Even Poppy Bush was gettin' a little on the side. I was disappointed that Clinton didn't keep it contained, that he TRUSTED Monica NOT to brag about servicing a President. I assumed Clinton was SMARTER than that, and smart enough not to let his dick think for him. I was also disappointed that he wagged his finger at me on TV and LIED to me. For about two days, I thought he should resign. If he had, Gore would probably be President now. I got over it. I've never demanded our Presidents be moral paragons. Jefferson had illegitimate kids with his slaves! I finally decided that Clinton was the best president I could recall in my lifetime, BJ included, and forgave him. For me, competence trumps personal morals, every time.
