I think you are wrong here. The country by definition is centrist. Liberals will be largely unsuccessful should they develop hubris and think they have all the answers as liberal policies. The country is solidly in the center and wants government to govern from the center. .......The one problem with the two party system that bounces back and forth between liberals and conservatives leaving the majority constantly frustrated.
