Osama bin Laden: The Newest Fake Despite all the evil stuff that has been heaped upon Osama bin Ladin, apparently he is regarded as a very useful and helpful guy in that he dutifully appears, at the right time, or so it would seem, to enable Bush to strike fear into the American people and remind all of the Muslim menace. I personally believe Osama was killed at Tora Bora, Afghanistan, some time in December 2001 when tons of "thermobaric" bombs were dropped on his hiding places. So, the Osama tapes we saw/heard after Tora Bora are "fakes".
