LS-Dyna is a real application and Clovertown the non-native dud gets slaughtered in it like it does in Fluent and probably every other real HPC application out there. IBM is not noted for having the best SPEC scores as well. Barcelona the Beast even at 2 GHz has ensured that Opteron will remain the HPC processor of choice and FMAC in Bulldozer will only reinforce that. Forget HPC, it's done and it remains very firmly in AMD's hands.
