I don't know. I guess traders in 1987 looked at similarities
with 1929, then decided to dump stocks and futures on day 55,
just like they did back then. It was the pattern setup that
did it, I think. -g-

Looking at 1998 LTCM crisis, though, the SP had its peak
on July,20, 1998 at 1190.58, reaching the low of 923.32 on
October, 8. Came pretty close on September,1 (939.98). So,
rule 55 is never a given -g-
