i said i hired low cost bidder.. i doubt hd. lowes, and most of the local contractors were all none immigrates. I said the bottom line difference was labor and the ones who did my house did a terrific job and cheaper than any of the other bidders. i only know one local bidder who used local men one irish,one irish, one italian, two german. they had been together for 12 years. he was $3500. higher. He said these guys were killing him. I expect he is getting jobs at the price he is charging otherwise his prices would come down too.

However, if he wanted to do my house, he needed to drop his prices... Roofing prices vary quite a bit ,like most contractors.. if things slow you get great prices to keep his workers busy and cover over head.. if contractor very busy,,you will get very high prices. just because they can charge them and get them.

I had my roof done in late April... i doubt i would have gotten low prices in late May through summer.
