Just culture: In America, there are three times as many professional tanning parlors as there are Starbucks.

Adapted from Microtrends: The Small Forces Behind Tomorrow's Big Changes by Mark J. Penn with E. Kinney Zalesne.

You've got allow for cultural differences. If we are naturally tanned -high melanine as MQ puts it- have lots of sunshine we, naturally, have less need for these service.

We don' export quite a few concepts we have: We have boteco*, Zona** or other places such as churrascaria, but we don't make hoopla out of it nor exploit as business opportunities. And we are wrong for not doing a business out of that.

This is changing now because Brazil is fashionable. You can drink capirinha or go to a churrascaria in the US fogodechao.com or do a "Brazilian waxing"

boteco: bar where you can drink beer and the price is cheap. ** Zona Sex workers business place.
