Are you telling me that any insurance company that I applied to was REQUIRED to insure me, even if I had a serious illness like cancer? If so, I stand corrected, although I just looked at my policy and see it had a 365 day waiting period for pre-existing conditions. If a new insurer is not required to insure me (this isn't COBRA), then what you say doesn't help very much at all.
