I actually do read labels for sodium content. Still, I know I eat a lot of it without even realizing it. As I age, my taste buds are losing their ability to satisfy me and the temptation to add salt is great. How about salt subs? Just as bad?

I've decided to eat 3 stalks of celery (about 10 inches long) daily. I was reminded of another growing problem with this morning's first bite. Food goes partially down my throat and just hangs there. Saturday morning, before I realized this, I had half a plate of scrambled eggs swallowed, but not all the way down. End result was puking them up and very uncomfortable for about an hour. My father had to have his esophagus stretched a couple times in his later years. Suppose that's next for me.
