I'm guilty as charged. All my life I've been a fast eater, taking too big bites and failing to properly chew. It's only with the increased frequency of this swallowing problem that this fact has really dawned on me. I'm really concentrating on going slower, chewing more completely and drinking water or juice with my meals. I'll see how this goes for the next few weeks. If I get in trouble again, I'll see my doc. The stretched esophagus procedure is a piece of cake, takes only a few minutes and has no discomfort with it.
