Citibank Selects Perot Systems as Technology Partner

October 17, 1996 -- CHICAGO, IL -- Citibank
announced today that it has selected Perot Systems
Corporation of Dallas as its technology provider for the
Travel Agency Commission Settlement [SM] (TACS)
system, the lodging industry's largest provider of centralized
commission programs. Perot Systems will be responsible
for customer implementations, operation and management
of all data processing, and ongoing customer support.
Citibank will focus on expanding the system's financial
services features, especially multi-currency electronic
banking.

"The alliance was formed in recognition of our customers'
immediate and dramatically increasing appetite for
information," said Tom Edgerton, vice president and senior
product director of Citibank Global Cash Management
Services.

A major byproduct of TACS is the database of guest
history collected from the hotel's PMS (Property
Management System). Hotel chains immediately recognized
that TACS could provide business-critical marketing
intelligence, thought to be obtainable only through
multi-year, multi-million dollar systems investments.

"Whether providing customers raw data or sophisticated
data warehousing and data mining services, Perot Systems
will enable our customers to define what information is
meaningful to them and how they want to access it," said
Edgerton .

Bill Doody, representing Perot Systems' Travel & Leisure
Group, stated, "We're delighted with the prospect of
combining Citibank's world class financial capabilities with
Perot Systems' information technologies. Our goal is to
make it simple for customers to quickly harness TACS'
vast information potential. Citibank developed an innovative
approach that maximizes value from travel agency
distribution. Extending its application beyond commissions
is clearly an opportunity we want to aggressively pursue."

Introduced to the travel industry in 1991, Travel Agency
Commission Settlement is provided by Citibank, N.A., and
its affiliates worldwide. TACS integrates global banking
and information technology to provide turnkey, centralized
commission programs that can be customized to meet the
specific technology, banking and marketing objectives of its
customers. In 1995, more than 5.2 million commissionable
transactions were processed through TACS, representing
over $100 million in commission payments.

Perot Systems is a leading information technology services
and business transformation company with an estimated
1996 revenue of $600 million. Perot Systems serves major
clients in the financial services, health care, utilities,
telecommunications, and travel and leisure industries in
North America, Europe and Asia. Privately-owned, Perot
Systems has more than 4,300 employees worldwide. More
information can be found on Perot Systems through the
World Wide Web at perotsystems.com.

Citibank delivers more transaction banking services in more
countries than any other bank. Through its Global
Transaction Services organization, Citibank delivers a wide
array of innovative, integrated solutions to clients and
processes transactions totaling more than $1 trillion daily.
