I was sitting here at my desk in SW Michigan when an IM came in about the first plane. I turned the TV on in time to see the second plane hit, and had absolutely no doubts that we were under attack. One of the things I remember clearly on that day other than immediate rage, was a street interview of a New York City man that summed it up for me.....He simply said "Mr. President, get 'em ...get 'em". This fellow was someone you could not easily identify as belonging to any particular political party, but he was clearly an American.
