Yep, I remember my grandmother doing that and always telling my brother and me to do the same. Of course, we choked our food down like hungry dogs. Paying the price today. Three more stalks of celery today. I discovered those green bags they've been advertising on TV that will keep produce fresh for up to 30 days. That sure saves extra trips to the store.
