The worst thing that could happen for the Country in the next four years would be for the republicans to be reduced to a minor party with no influence and no ability to block legislation or keep a filibuster going. Right now, I think that could happen. It didn't happen to the Dems. when Gingrich et al. came to power and it will not happen to the Repubs. either....IMO
