I see. I understood it so that not only a fraction of the stepping is affected from the bug and also there is a microcode-patch for this bug. If so all such code would show whether you have a bios with an appropriate patch for it - which you can find out by just looking at the bios version. But then, maybe i have a misconception here. K.
