I do not believe that Soros is driven by a need to make money. It's far worse - he is trying to leave a legacy, to improve the world. He does it internationally, not only in the US -- "velvet revolution" in Georgia, the "orange revolution" in Kiev... The man is a good businessman, and is able to leverage his investments (and his misjudgments) very efficiently. Good thing that Gates and Buffett are not revolutionaries.....
