You're right, why not Lee as CEO of a merged GTE/ATT. I really knew next to nothing about the guy until last night as I spent a couple hours on the web researching him. He seems like the ideal and likely candidate particularly if this deal goes through. We'll have to wait and see but this certainly makes sense.

How about this announcement next week:

"GTE & ATT have agreed to merge their companies in a cash and stock transaction. GTE CEO Lee will move into the position of CEO of the newly formed organization. Former ATT CEO Boob Allen has been thrown out on his ass."

Maybe that last part might be toned down a little.

This could be huge.
