Bill: I think you may have picked an extreme example to illustrate the relevance of TSIM product. But, in a way, you have argued that it is Amdahl that would benefit from using a modeling tool more than MM. Seems to me there is a point to suggestion that Amdahl, CA, EDS or any other large body shop would want to know how failures of any number of applications would effect their customer's operations.

Moreover, there continues to be tons of info circulating to the effect that there are still many sectors where addressing the problem is lagging. Even those large businesses that are well underway may not fully comprehend the effects of missing a few date references in some of their mainframe applications. Given that IT budgets for them may be in the $millions, they stand to save that and more by prioritizing their fix to those systems that could cost them the most were they to fail.

By the way, at $25K each, even selling 100 of these tools wipes out their losses this year, wouldn't it?
