It is worth considering that the northern regions are the ones expected to heat up the most, cities will be worse, and if New York state became more arid, it would be even worse. So 7 degrees in New York city is not out of the range of possibilities. I'm happy to admit it is likely on the high side though.

I just didn't like seeing the author's foisting of nonsense on his readers.
