Hawk, 3 points, i expect a US slowdown to be a global contagion and reduce global economic activity, I see a widespread acceptance of a downward trending USD as a reason for overseas Governments and individuals to lightened their weightings to USD denominated assets and I also expect an upturn in trade frictions and new tariffs's on Market's such as China, to act in a negative and mitigating factor on Global Trade and Growth.

I might throw in a fourth point that with a contraction in Global Credit Ability and worthiness, we will see a contraction in Global credit availability due to a general sense of the "tide going out"

and as we know this situation exposes those in who are swimming naked.
