>>> Does seem that Belichick will always be associated with cheating. What a legacy he's going to leave. <<<

Legacy is over rated!

If Bill cared about his legacy, he'd have a personality.

Has Phil Niekro's legacy been tarnished? Has he been kicked out of the Hall of Fame?

How about Lawrence Taylor? Will NFL films show his greatness as a player, or harp on his drugs and prostitutes? Will Taylor be banned from the Hall of Fame?

How about Ankiel of the St Louis Cardinals? Will every game he helped win be taken away and credited with a loss?

How about Shawne Merriman? The Chargers are making me sick with their holier than thou attitudes about how they do it right and the Patriots are cheaters.

Will every game Merriman played in be taken away and shown as a loss? Merriman's cheating only cost him Defensive Player of the Year. It didn't cost him Pro Bowl Player status.

And speaking of other NFL cheats ... how bout this!

If we're going to stick an asterisk next to the '01, '03 and '04 Pats, don't stop there -- it needs to extend to Elway's Broncos (cap cheaters), DeBartolo's Niners (cap cheaters), the '90s Cowboys (drugs and hookers), the '86 Giants (coke), the '70s Steelers (steroids) and pretty much everyone who ever won a Super Bowl.

Has cheating tarnished their legacy's?

This will all blow over. For now, the Patriots must suffer some embarrassment, serve their penalty and move on.
