First al queda is a huge threat. Now the surge has wiped them out. Lets face facts.

Let's. The tide has turned against AQ and they are losing. This is not the same as LOST, especially for an organization receiving funding and leadership and manpower from over the borders - like Al Qaeda. If Al Qaeda is wiped out, then the Mahdi Army remains. Also the brewing war in Syria, where the Israelis just left "a big hole in the desert" destroying what has been variously reported as Iranian missiles en route to Hizbullah or a Syrian nuclear weapons site purchased from North Korea.
