Review: Moto Razr2, Q9m Fail to Excite

nytimes.com

What I find interesting about this is that Moto, unlike the other cellphone companies has plenty of computer experience. But they still have problems integrating usable controls in a computer/phone this small.

The cell companies and Moto's knowledge of how to build peripheral application software is nil.

Apple of course has genius in all these areas.

(If I can toot my horn I predicted a touch screen long before the iPhone came out. I realized the real impediment to shrinking a device is the control surface and the feedback area, not the hardware. I realized that the only solution was a touch screen.)

Jobs also realized that a new form of control on the touch screen was needed, which combined is brilliant.
