A few days ago I related some of why my grandson is now in catholic school, but did not want to complain too much about the Evanston school system. However, as long as you brought it up....
We never got an evaluation from any of his teachers (I take that back, his kindergarten teacher is the exception) completely free of misspellings, incomplete or run on sentences. While these are all nice people who apparently care a lot about the kids, with each passing grade it got worse. His third grade evaluation, while glowing and complimentary of his comportment and scholarship, did not have a single sentence without glaring errors, sometimes many of them. Even Jon, a third grader, on reading it made mention. I tend to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and in fairness there were 13 kids in the class. Anyway...
