It's like this Jim. Someone says the devil oppresses people. No one would really disagree with that except the devil.

So your argument is that corporations are the devil, that they are bad in every way and no one has to doubt any charge made against them?

Even if corporations where oppressing people as fast and hard as they could, and provided little or no benefit to those people or to anyone else except the owners, officers, and employees of the corporation, your statement would still be over the top.

But the reality is they provide a lot of benefit, including to the workers in the third world who get a wage from the corporation. Its not how hot the fire in the house is. Its more like you have an institution (multi-national corporations) that are putting out the fire (extreme poverty) with a garden hose. Because a garden hose isn't very powerful, you still have a lot of flames in the house where they aim the hose. You also have a lot of fire in other sections of town (other countries or areas) where there are no hoses.

You rightfully see this as a far less than ideal situation. But your answer seems to be to shut off the garden hose.
