I don't think people ridicule Kerry's service. It seems strange for you to even suggest such a thing given the disgraceful treatment of General Petraeus by elected representatives of your party.

People ridicule Kerry because of his pretenses about his military service.

I never liked Kerry because he wanted the Presidency far too much. He was planning a run since he met Kennedy in his youth. He had films of himself taken in VN so that he could use his military service as a springboard. He then backstabbed his comrades for personal political gain. I thought he was the biggest phony around.

My dislike for Kerry intensified at the convention when he came in "reporting for duty". His whole ploy was ridiculous and embarrassing given the short stint of his service and rabid manner in which he turned on his fellow servicemen upon return to the States.

So, if you want to talk about treatment of the military, please don't use Kerry as a poster boy. It's unseemly.
