09 16 07 week end up date.

stockcharts.com

This week there is no change in the investment stratagy and that is to be 100% invested in the large cap sector.

Our choice of funds was up 1 1/2% last week and we did well for the week and no change is warranted at this time, because the large cap sector continue to out perform, this can be seen on the chart above.

As long as this continues the large cap sector will remain our recommended investment.

I was recently asked by someone if being in only one fund was diversifyed enough because having all the eggs in one basket is thought not to be wise.

All the funds that are available to use are mutual funds. Mutual fund are a family of fund containing many stocks, this is built in diversification. Having all you money on one individual stock would be unwise in that in could go bad in a hurry.

The employees at enron can tell you about this and many lost there live savings by having it all with the company they work for.

Mutual funds are a different animal in that they are invested accross many companys that make up the fund and thus diversifycation is built in.

The chart above shows are suggested fund and things look good in that both the lines that we follow are now pointing up , this may suggest that the market has finished its correction and is ready to move up.

The two lines, the blue and the red one is our signal, we want them to be blue over red and that is what we have, thus there is no change in investment this week.

Notice also that the price is now over the blue this is also what we want.

I have added a blue dotted line and if price were to break out above that in the coming weeks it would likely lead to substancial gains into the end of the year, Just something to watch.

All the charts on this site update daily and you can watch how they perform as the week goes on.

Have a nice week and I will update next week.
