More and more, the entire industry is shaping up as one giant-sized systems trader, with the same internal flaws, curve-fitting, optimization, backward-looking limitations as Joe Blow and his copy of WealthLab.

The comments coming from these folks in the last month are almost pathetic. Renaissance running like mad to get up some back-end public entity before the cookie crumbles is almost desperate.

Not that the programs don't work, at least for periods of time. But the real message to me in the last 60 days is: they're subject to the same damn rules of market efficiency/inefficiency that everyone else is stuck with.

Too bad, Einstein. You though you had it licked.
