I'm no fan of Greenspan. Why did the "independent" Fed chairman do what Bush wanted? Greenspan publicly supported Bush's deficits while in office. A principled man would have stuck to his guns and been fired. He's just another Colin Powell type. Greenspan is a long time Republican.
