Realistically, McCain better have his concession speech written because I don't expect him to be in the race come mid-February.

As for Romney, I wouldn't mind a president who cares what the voters actually want, instead of trying to bulldoze the whole system with his particular narrow agenda.

After ideological presidents, we usually follow up with fairly moderate wimps (Ford, Carter, Bush Sr.) who let everyone relax and catch their breath before the next firebreather comes along.

That said, I doubt I would vote for Romney myself against any of the likely Democratic nominees. He's just the least objectionable of the bunch.
