But OJ can charm the scales off a snake, can't he?

I really had a lot of faith in the jury system until his trial. It just seemed like the jury they seated was OJ's dream team.

I've served on a jury, and it is one hell of a tough assignment, even for short trials. You are crammed into a room with eleven other people you don't know and don't like, and you have to do serious business with them that affects somebody's fate.

The jury I served on failed. I was the only one in the room who wanted to spend more time convincing the one holdout, who happened to be the jury foreman hastily chosen simply because he was the oldest. He said the state did not prove its case. But if a guy admits drinking 13 beers before 9:30 am, drives under a logging truck at 11, and the arresting officer smells alcohol on his breath, what more is there to prove?
