Another theme that emerged from my correspondence: Vista was the final straw for a number of Windows users. Microsoft has a problem on its hands there.)

Aint this the truth. Vista is a major flop. Within a few mos of availability MSFT already had Vista service pack 1 documented on their support sites. Yeck.

I can't remember a successful, highly hyped 4 year late hugely overbudget product. Every time this happens it seems like the resulting product is a flop, when it finally comes out.
