"Greenspan doesn't like Bush because Bush showed him up and got us out of the clinton/greenspan recession" I doubt that but even if so we can now count on a Bernake/Bush recession. The housing slump is having ripple effects that are affecting the economy more and more. Employment has been the first major place the affect has shown up - but it will get worse. Look for the markets to tank even if Bernake lowers this week. "Greenspan doesn't like it that Bush is way smarter then he is" Well thats just plain laughable - even most Repubs would admit Bush isn't an intellectual - he goes with his "gut". Clearly Bush simply isn't concerned with detail and has been described as disinterested in a lot of policy leaving it to others.
