What is the role of the fed, anyway ? Is it to manage the economy or just to manage the money supply? (or neither, I don't know) I thought the USA was the bastion of free markets.... with a free enterprise system governed by market forces, rather than by the government. If that's correct, aren't you judging our Al rather harshly ?
