My attitude is more like yours than Josh's. I don't really have the resources to act on them much, however.

I really don't like panhandlers, because they approach me when I don't know them and how am I to know they are going to say "God Bless" or stab me in the back if I don't give them a handout. Also, as you say, it's not really good for them anyhow.
