it's awesome yeah, but others maybe scared that you may as well implant a tracking chip under your skin. i too love google maps and especially how fantastic it looks with the iPhone, but imagine your wife knowing exactly where you are at 2am in the morning. People dont pay much attention to it, but every CDMA handset sold in the last five years has had assisted-GPS. It is used to identify your location when you call 911. The carriers just havent chosen to rollout location based services (at least partially due to privacy fears). Slacker
