come on one billion non cash expense is not the same as one billion dollars.... surely you understand that.... can I pay you in non-cash? How about cookies or housework or something. Non cash expenses are netted out of everybody's earnings calculations. Anybody that uses depreciation as a way of determining corporate profitability deserves to lose it all. that article doesn't mention that these are non cash expenses, it is sensationalizing.
