Craig, It is very reminiscent of the "free" online casinos. They make money from advertising, and, in some cases, in selling your email address to retailers. Generally, they have the money to pay out, at least, at first. Slightly different, but similar in structure, is "IWon.com," which I still use. You can win daily, weekend, monthly and annual prizes and IWon has the money and they do pay out. However, they have pulled in their horns since the first year.
