I recommended that, and agree with it. I really don't feel comfortable with these SWAT teams out there. They've busted down the wrong doors too many times.

Even when they have the right door, they screw up. Like Ruby Ridge, Waco, Elian Gonzales, etc.

I remember the Texas Tower shootings. It was stopped with the aid of an armed citizen or two.

When the Montana State Prison had a riot (I was a teenager) all the ranchers came to town with their .30-30s and tried to help. It was ultimately stopped by the National Guard by firing a bazooka into the tower where the rioters were ensconced. Which is a satisfactory conclusion as far as I'm concerned.

Montana has a vigilante history, and there's something to be said for that. Individuals are responsible for justice when there is no law. Who is responsible when there is too much law and no justice?
