...the web surfing experience is not very good if you load multiple pages. since i typically have 30-40 tabs open on my Macbook i figured the Touch could handle 3 or 4. but once you start looking at one page, the other ones go away somehow. when you go to look at them you find they are blank and need to be reloaded. at the same time the page you just came from has gone blank and needs to be reloaded if you go back to it. aside from the slow loading times compared to a notebook, since this is not a ubiquitous access device, one of the obvious uses would be to load up a number of pages at some Wifi access point and then read them somewhere else. but since the Touch forgets all the pages and forces you to reload them every time (or nearly every time) you view them, it is useless for this purpose which even a 10-year-old laptop can handle. Sounds like there's a problem that needs to be fixed. Have you tried to play with the cache settings? There have been some reports of browser problems on the iPhone and I'm sure they're working on a fix as we speak. Part of the price paid as an early adopter. google.com
