i figured the Touch could handle 3 or 4. but once you start looking at one page, the other ones go away somehow. when you go to look at them you find they are blank and need to be reloaded. at the same time the page you just came from has gone blank and needs to be reloaded if you go back to it. I'm not sure if the Touch is different than the iPhone but this is exactly how I use Safari. I usually have a couple of tabs open and switch back and forth between them....and they dont go blank when I leave them. BTW, I usually have >30 tabs open on my computer as well....drives my wife nuts <g>. Slacker
