I spoke w the new CEO. Grant Robertson is a Scottish gentleman who called me from Edinborough. (pardon my spelling here). Around 1987 he was head of Avitas who were going to do on-line distribution of entertainment software throughout Europe. They did a patent search and found the Freeney patent. They studied it and knew they had a problem. The solved it by buying a 1 year option to buy the patent. They excercised it but were not there to enforce it, hence they sold it.

Mr R is about to retain a Brittish patent lawfirm to enforce it throughout Europe.

He agrees that what is most important for GIFT is this patent suit. With the anticipated outcome from this lawsuit, he is planning how to exploit it. Judge Jones has not yet set any dates. He will be in close contact w Mr Fink.

He is considering strategic alliances.

He is anxious to gather a list of new potential infringers that we may come across so that they can be given Notices of Infringement and deals for the license of the patent.

He is not quite set up. He will be in a few weeks. Mel
