He did a lot more than ask questions based on eyewitness reports, I would have been okay with them beating him a la rodney king, nobody likes a wiseguy.

I viewed that piece as evidence that we are moving closer to a police state.

Maybe he should have been arrested. Of that I'm not sure. I didn't see enough. I don't know how long he went over his allotted time. If it was a minute who cares. If it was several minutes and the other students there didn't like it, they could have told him to shut up.

But tasering the guy after they clearly had him subdued? That's frightening.

What bothered me more than anything is none of the other students stood up to rail against the police.

[edit] I see from further comments the guy was out of line. It's still absolutely no reason to Taser the guy. he was overwhelmed by other officers. the guy appeared handcuffed and was no threat.
