No deflation in this country for a long time in things you need except perhaps deflationary Danville. Only housing is crashing in select locations but that will reverse dramatically in 3-5 years IMHO.. Homebuilding and anything tied to it now in depression like tech from 2001-03. Attempts to debase and keep nominal price drops in gateway cities like yours to a reasonable number perhaps 10-20% even while real drops approach 50%+ over this next cycle.. Parts of FL down an amazing 50% already on a nominal basis..
