The bond market has been "telling" the FED that they have been to stingy and that they've been holding rates at too high a level for a while now. Certainly the people in the mortgage business have been crowing for a while now that the FED has been too tight with their monetary policy.

Much of the inflation we've seen is due to excessively high oil prices.
