We'll know if there are any plans for CDMA when Apple signs with Qualcomm. So far Apple has only signed with IDT, which is WCDMA. It could be that Apple doesn't have the manpower to develop on and manage more than one platform at this time. Just my WAG.

They'll need to sign up with Qualcomm for a WCDMA/HSDPA license as well.

I would bet very heavily against any CDMA version of the iPhone. The market simply isnt big enough once you get outside the US. Japan and Korea are just going to have to wait for the WCDMA version of the iPhone.
