A old friend of mine died from cirrhosis two years ago...........sometime I may share more of the stories. She was also addicted to drugs of any kind. I would have to hide all drugs that warned about use with alcohol cause she would take some at her visits.She knew the exact location of every pain killing drug in my house. She tried to quit on several occasions but her husband, also an alcoholic, would need her to return to drinking and provoke her to start drinking again. They were co-addicts so their relationship was intertwined with alcohol. Alcoholism, in varying degrees, is rampant in our society. I have a family member who only drinks two drinks a day ( two water glasses full of vodka with a twist of lemon and two ice cubes.........and of course you don't count the wine cause that's not drinking). The world is full of alcoholics.
