Puma drills 93 m of 0.03 per cent Mo at NB project
2007-09-19 12:07 ET - News Release
Mr. Andre Proulx reports
PUMA EXPLORATION: 93 METRES OF MOLYBDENUM FOR NB MOLY IN NEW BRUNSWICK
Puma Exploration Inc. has intersected 93 metres of persistent molybdenum (Mo) mineralization, grading 0.030 per cent Mo, during recent drilling at its NB moly project in New Brunswick. In fact, the last 93 metres of drilling in bore hole F07-09 show disseminated molybdenum mineralization cut by occasional higher-grade quartz-molybdenite veinlets. This bore hole bottomed in mineralized granite grading 0.128 per cent Mo over 1.5 metres.
The two other bore holes also intersected the same mineralized granite over significant thicknesses, for example, bore hole F07-07 with 0.037 per cent Mo over 24.1 metres, and bore hole F07-08 with 0.033 per cent Mo over 11.1 metres.

The NB moly property contains seven molybdenum showings located within a circular granite stock about 12 square kilometres in area. Sixteen shallow holes were drilled on the granite between 1965 and 1968 by NB Molybdenum Mines Ltd. Twelve of the 16 bore holes intersected significant molybdenum mineralization resembling that found in the current drilling (see news in Stockwatch May 24, 2007). There has so far been no deep drilling on the granite body.
"The presence of mineralized showings throughout the intrusion, which covers 12 square kilometres as well as the thicknesses and grades found by drilling, suggest that the NB moly project could contain a world-class deposit," notes Andre Proulx, the president of Puma.
The company is currently engaged in an exhaustive compilation of data concerning the NB moly project, to identify the next targets for drilling.
The samples were analyzed in the ALS Chemex laboratory at Val d'Or, Que., using the atomic absorption and ICP methods. The contents of this press release were prepared by geologist Marcel Robillard, a qualified person as defined in NI 43-101. |
